No such price / No such customer

  • Stripe

What it means

Stripe cannot find that price or customer with the key you used. Almost always a test-mode id used with a live key (or the reverse), or an id from a different Stripe account.

Why it happens

  • A price id created in test mode is used with the live key.
  • A customer saved in your database during testing, used after switching to live.
  • Keys and ids from two different Stripe accounts.

How to fix it

  1. Use the price id from the same mode as the key (test with sk_test_, live with sk_live_).
  2. Clear test-mode customer ids from your database before going live, or keep them separate.
  3. Check the key's account in the Stripe dashboard matches the ids.

Let your AI find the cause

Paste this into Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable or whichever AI built your app. It looks first and changes nothing until you have read the answer.

My app gets 'No such price' or 'No such customer' from Stripe. Without changing anything yet, tell me where each Stripe id comes from (settings, database, code), which key is used in each environment, and whether test and live could be mixed.
