LogicTrail teaches people who build with AI how their apps work. To do that we need very little about you: an email address to sign you in, your progress, and, if you buy Pro, a record of the payment. This page explains exactly what we keep, why, and how to get it removed.
Who we are
LogicTrail is run by Witsberry Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 13858949), 128 City Rd, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We are the controller of your personal data under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). For anything on this page, email hello@logictrail.app.
What we collect, and why
- Your account. Your email address, used to send sign-in links and to identify your account. We need it to provide the service you signed up for (contract).
- Your progress. The scenarios you walk, your answers' scores, completed trails, the risks you mark as checked in your own app, and, if you add one, the display name on your trail records. This is the service itself (contract). Trail records you choose to share are public pages that show that name.
- Payments. If you buy Pro, Stripe takes your payment details; we never see or store your card. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription references, your plan, its status and your founding member number (contract), and payment records for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
- Emails we send. Sign-in emails and messages about your account and subscription (contract), one reminder if a checkout you started is left unpaid (our legitimate interest in helping you finish what you started), and the newsletter only if you sign up for it (consent; every email has an unsubscribe link).
- App check requests. If you ask us to review your app, the email, tools and app address you give us, so we can reply (steps you asked us to take before a contract).
- Free tools. Most tools run entirely in your browser, and what you paste never reaches us. The tools that look up a website, domain or email setup fetch the public address you enter from our server; we don't keep the results. Your IP address is used briefly, in memory, to limit how often each visitor can run them (legitimate interest in preventing abuse).
- Analytics. Only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages are visited and how the trails are used, so we can improve them (consent). Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. If you decline, it is never loaded.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical details of requests, such as IP address and browser, for security and to fix errors (legitimate interest). These are kept for a short time.
Who processes it for us
We use these providers, each bound by a data processing agreement:
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting the website.
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
- Resend: sending email.
- Google: analytics, only with your consent.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards that UK law requires, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement. We never sell your data, and we don't share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Account and progress: until you ask us to delete your account.
- Payment records: six years after the payment, as UK tax law requires.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- App check requests: up to 12 months after we last replied.
- Analytics data: 14 months, then deleted by Google.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@logictrail.app from the address on your account and we will reply within one month.
To delete your account, email us from your account's address. We cancel any subscription, then delete your account, progress and records, keeping only the payment records the law requires.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Children
LogicTrail is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and its date, and email account holders about significant changes. See also our terms and refund policy.
